Mark Fine
A story worth telling is the inspiration for Mark Fine's work, usually based on moments in history that both entertain and inform the reader, such as the gritty period of apartheid South Africa. As a storyteller, Mark enjoys the notion of using fictional characters to lead the reader through periods of our past that are interesting, challenging, and instructive. |
AUTHOR MARK FINE was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He has made the United States his home since 1978 living in New York, Minneapolis, and Los Angeles. Now the South Bay is his home, where he lives with his two sons, and a neighborhood dog that drops in from time to time. He has also contributed articles to entertainment industry publications, and conducted public speaking engagements at technology and charity events.
The oncology community has honored Mark for his innovative, entertainment-based approach to health education, specifically breast cancer awareness. But he is especially proud of his "Paws of Fame" award he received from The Wildlife Waystation for support and commitment of animals worldwide. As such, animals always make an appearance in Mark Fine's writings.

"A stunningly beautiful book trailer that captures the intensity of Mark Fine's wonderful book The Zebra Affaire."
CHRISTINA GROSS said, "I came upon this author's superb novel, THE ZEBRA AFFAIRE, after I BROWSED UPON HIS EXCELLENT BOOK TRAILER ON YOUTUBE. Mark Fine is a provocative author with courage - and that courage is shared by Elsa and Stanwell, a bi-racial couple who struggle against the inhumane horror years of apartheid in the mid-1970s. A profound love story told in black and white, terrifyingly punctuated with the red of courage."
